Holocaust Memorial

: 1995 I installed 16 figures commemorating all of the people victimised
by the Nazi regime. The eight different groupings, within the Consentration: Camps, consisted of:political, Roma and Sinti, "Asoziale", homosexuals,
Jews, "criminals", migrants, Jehovas witneses ! The figures focused on the ruins of the portal of the Anhalter station.: This was infact one of the stations from which deportations to Buchenwald
and the "Ghetto Theresienstadt" had taken place, a fact that even most: native Berliners did not realise. After a few days, the first figures were
vandalised, altogether half of the figures were distroyed, partly by juvanil: vandalisum partly politicaly motivated. The police protected the installation
for the three months that I was permitted to have it installed. After this the: eight remaining figures went on a tour of five different previous concentration
camps, Haus der Wannsee-Konferenz, to Bonn and Düsseldorf aswell as: Weimar. 1999 the figures are permanently installed in Ravensbrück.
The point I am making, is one of none segregation; to remember all people,: irespective of what, religion, political or personal convictioin they were,
who were all victims of Nazi ideologie.
